The latest

It’s been a loong time, without you my friend…. Well let me spare you my singing for now, and tell you what I’ve been up to lately. I have been creating art like a crazy person! Well, at least for the last couple of weeks in preparation for  my first ever SURTEX! I won’t be there personally, but my agent Mary Beth at Pink Light Studio will. Super excited to have my work there. Unfortunately I can’t really show anything here, yet, besides for one little sneak peak that Mary Beth already posted on instagram and my Surtex flyer.

What else? Hm, well I submitted a book mark to Uppercase magazine, you can download it here

And lastly, all of our Pink Light studio SURTEX flyers where featured on the Print & pattern blog, yay and hurray! Check it out here.

I’ve been busy finishing up a lot of artwork for Printsource. I just recently signed with Pink Light Studio to be my agent, and I’m SO happy and proud. So excited for my work being at Printsource this year. I have a feeling this will be a great year.

Bears in the sweater

I guess bears in sweaters never go out of fashion, here is my interpretation.

Had to submit another illustration on this wonderful theme “Animal”. Everyone: meet my baboon!

I kept playing around with the illustration I created on the theme Whimsical last week. I thought they’d be really cute as greeting cards and pattern.

We made some cookies today and they all ended up having eyes. Just couldn’t help myself enhancing their features…

Free iphone backgrounds

These iphone backgrounds are probably two years old, and I remember sharing them on my old blog paired with one of my monthly backgrounds. But I think they still work, and with the holiday season fast approaching I think they should see the light of day once more. I hope you like them!

This weeks theme (which I made, just barely) on Illustration Friday is Whimsical. This word is very not specific, you could literally draw anything and just add a whimsical touch to it, which also makes it kind of hard to think outside the box. Anyways, I ended up with these snails and their little floral houses. I actually think they turned out pretty cute. Take care everyone and have a great weekend!

New art print!

November 10th, 2015 | Posted by Caroline in Illustration - (0 Comments)

I keep coming back to this illustration, this is the 2015 brushed up version. I think I will add this print to my soon-to-be-reopening-shop!!caroline-alfreds-illustration-w

Wouldn’t that be interesting? 🙂

I will be saving this original drawing for a project I’m working on, but I was thinking it would make a good digital piece, so I decided to have a go. The color palette was inspired from my dress and some starburst candy, I guess that source of inspiration os never far away huh, it’s just a matter of seeing it.

The illustration friday theme for this week just happens to be BOUQUET (yes, coincidence, I swear) so I got to kill two (well, three actually) birds with one stone with this one.
